By See Komodo Dragons Editorial Desk
To contact See Komodo Dragons, send a WhatsApp message to +62 811-3823-875 or write through the email link on this page. The desk answers questions and handles trip requests for this travel guide, which sits under Juara Holding Group. It is not the Komodo National Park office, and it issues no park tickets or permits.
What is the quickest way to contact See Komodo Dragons?
Use WhatsApp for a short question or a request you expect to refine over a few messages, such as swapping a date. Use email for anything long, for a list of names and ages, or when several people need to see the same thread. Pick one channel for each request, because a request sent to both can produce two replies that drift apart.
We publish no fixed reply time. Time zones, the volume of messages and the need to check a detail with someone else all affect how long a useful answer takes. If your trip depends on a reply by a certain day, say so in your first line.
Write plainly and keep it short. You do not need to know the names of ranger stations or routes before you ask.
What can you ask the desk?
Useful messages tend to fall into one of these groups:
- Planning questions. Whether a route idea makes sense for your dates, how much time to leave around flights, or how to compare Komodo and Rinca for your group.
- A trip request. You want someone to look at what is possible and come back with a written offer.
- Questions about a page on this site. You read something here and want to know what it means for your situation.
- Corrections. You think a fact on a page is wrong or out of date. Send the page address, the sentence and a source. The editorial desk reviews them.
- Group and access questions. Older travellers, children, or someone with limited mobility. Tell us early, because it changes what is worth asking a provider.
Some things are out of our hands: where a dragon will be, a sighting, and the sea on a given morning. A boat, room, schedule or package needs a written offer and not a chat message. An answer from the desk is information. It becomes a commitment only in a written offer. For general questions, our FAQ page may already have the answer, and the about page explains who runs this guide.
What details help us answer in one reply?
A request with the facts below usually avoids a round of follow-up questions. Copy the list and fill in what you know. Leave blank anything you have not decided.
| Detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Travel dates, and how flexible they are | A daily visitor quota now applies in the park, so ask whether a spare day would help. |
| Where you start from | Already in Labuan Bajo, flying in from Bali, or elsewhere. This sets how much of the day is left. |
| Number of people and ages | Group size and children affect both logistics and what you should ask about the walk. |
| Walking ability and medical points | Only what affects the walk or the boat. Share no more than you need to. |
| What you already hold | Flights, hotel, or any park entry booked. This avoids paying twice for one thing. |
| What you most want | A dragon walk only, or a longer trip. Tell us which you would give up first if you cannot have both. |
| Spending range | A rough figure saves time for both sides. You can give it in any currency. |
A good first message can be three lines: "Two adults, 14 to 18 June, flying into Labuan Bajo on the 14th. We want a dragon walk and can manage a few hours on foot. What is possible, and what would you need from us?"
Please leave passport numbers, card details and copies of documents out of a first message. If a later step needs them, the written offer will say who needs them and why.
When should you contact the park office instead?
Komodo National Park has its own administration, and it answers for the park. Indonesia's central government manages the park through a directorate of the forestry ministry, and the local office, Balai Taman Nasional Komodo, is at Jalan Kasimo, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, Flores. The authority publishes its own website and contact channels, separate from any travel business, and you will find its official contact details there.
| Your question | Who to ask |
|---|---|
| An official rule, a closure or a current quota position | The park authority's own website and channels |
| A ticket you have already bought | The seller of that ticket, and the park authority |
| A special entry permit (SIMAKSI) | The park authority. The siora.id portal front page shows a Komodo Reservation option and a SIMAKSI option |
| Cover for medical treatment or evacuation | Your insurer |
| A trip idea, or a written offer to compare | This desk |
Two points deserve attention before you buy anything. Park tickets, once bought, cannot be cancelled or refunded, according to the official tariff notice, so settle your dates first. Separately, the UK government's general advice on travel insurance applies to the whole country, so ask your insurer how it applies to a dragon walk.
Conditions can also shift quickly. After the earthquake of August 2026, the tourism ministry told travellers to consult official sources, including a hotline run by the Labuan Bajo Flores authority, before setting out, because aftershocks were continuing. For events like that, official channels come first and this desk comes second.
The quota itself changes how you should approach dates, and our page on the Komodo National Park visitor limit sets out what is confirmed and what is not.
How do offers work?
Requests through the desk can lead to a paid booking, so we have a commercial interest. You should weigh what we say with that in mind and check anything important against the official sources linked across this site.
The site itself is a guide. It runs no tours, boats or rooms and employs no rangers. If your request goes further, you receive a written offer before you agree to anything. Any fee, the price and the company that contracts with you all appear in that document. Nothing said earlier in chat or email binds anyone until then.
Read an offer as you would any contract, and check it answers these questions:
- Which company contracts with you, and what is its full name?
- What is the total price, and is any fee shown separately?
- What exactly is included, day by day?
- Is park entry included, and who is responsible for arranging it within the quota system?
- What happens if the sea, a closure or the quota stops the plan?
- What are the cancellation and refund terms, and how do they sit alongside non-refundable park tickets?
If an offer leaves one of these open, ask before you pay. Asking commits you to nothing, and you are free to compare the offer with others.
What should you not rely on the desk for?
The desk is not an emergency service. If someone is hurt or in danger, contact the guide or ranger with you, the crew on your boat, or local emergency services first. Do not wait for a reply here.
We also cannot give medical, legal or visa advice. We can tell you which official source deals with the question, and we would rather send you there than guess. If you are already on a trip arranged by another company, that company and its contract are your first call.
What else do people want to know before writing?
Who can help me plan to see Komodo dragons?
This desk can answer planning questions and, if you ask, look for a written offer. The park authority answers for rules and tickets. Your airline, your insurer and your boat crew each answer for their own part of the trip.
What can I ask the See Komodo Dragons desk?
Ask about dates, routes, group needs, what a page on this site means for your trip, or how to read an offer. You can also send corrections with a source. The desk cannot promise sightings, boats or availability.
Is this the Komodo National Park office?
No. This is a travel guide under Juara Holding Group, with a desk for requests. The park is run by Indonesia's central government through Balai Taman Nasional Komodo, whose office is on Jalan Kasimo in Labuan Bajo.
Can the desk refund my park ticket?
No. The desk issues no park tickets, and the official notice rules out refunds on tickets already bought. Check your dates before you buy, and take ticket questions to the seller or the park authority.
